About us

Four generations of Lahouti family have been involved in the hand-made Persian rugs trade business. In 1974, Ali Lahouti established his own rug export company in Tehran Bazaar that later developed into Lahouti & Co.

For more than two decades our primary goal was to increase the export of traditionally designed Persian rugs to the world. While achieving this goal, the company became one of the top ten exporters during the nineties.

The start of the new century had major new developments for Lahouti & Co. The management including the fourth generation Lahouti sons decided that the company requires a new direction. New analysis of the market and eight years of participation in domotex, the world’s largest floor covering show pointed to new demands of unique products.

In the recent years, we have started our own production of “custom made” fine Persian rugs, details of which are stated in respective section of the site.
The company today has sustained its growth by continuing to be a high volume exporter of traditional Persian rugs from all provinces of Iran and to meet the new market demands by weaving people’s dreams.
